Spherion is recruiting for a Technical Support Services Engineer for a large insurance provider company in Baton Rouge.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Plans, installs, monitors and maintains the integrity, security, availability, reliability and performance of primary and auxiliary technical architecture for corporate computerized systems as related to infrastructure software/hardware; provides technical support and timely assistance to clients of computerized systems; evaluates, tests, and recommends new computerized system products.

Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must have a 2 year vocational or associate degree program. Two years of related experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
-Three years of experience in desktop support or service desk required.
-Must be proficient at supporting Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc).
-Must have experience imaging physical workstations.
-Experience with network concepts including, TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN/WAN concepts required.
-Basic asset management tracking experience required.
-Must have experience tracking all work in a service desk ticketing system. Service Now experience is a plus.
-Must have effective interpersonal skills to handle numerous inquiries in a diplomatic manner.
-Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8AM - 5PM with occasional opportunities for mandatory overtime.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Provides technical support for IT service requests to identify and resolve computer software and hardware issues and problems in such a way as to meet or exceed client expectations.
-Ensures the proper installation, labeling, documentation, and operation of network/systems while making certain that more complex elements and plans are correct for specific applications.
-Develop, manages and builds positive relationships/partnership with clients, vendors, peers/other teams to ensure timely assistance and quality technical support to meet needs of clients and provide positive results with optimal impact to the organization.
-Understands IT Departmental Goals and Objectives and delivers work products to contribute to those goals.
